Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.
As a Sterilisation Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe provision of sterile and disinfected instruments and equipment to support patient care across Hawkesbury District Hospital. You will perform sterilisation and reprocessing activities in accordance with NBMLHD policies and procedures, as well as AS/NZS 4187 standards, contributing to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
As an integral member of the Sterilising Services team, you will assist in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment and may be required to support the training and supervision of new staff members developing their skills within the unit.
To be successful in this role, you must hold a certificate in sterilisation services and have demonstrated experience in scope cleaning and loan trays. You will bring a strong understanding of sterilisation processes, infection prevention principles, and a commitment to quality, safety, and attention to detail.
