Are you a commercial mover, shaker and negotiator ready to influence big decisions and deliver meaningful business outcomes? As our Procurement Category Manager – Fleet, Equipment, Parts & Maintenance , you'll take ownership of a critical national portfolio spanning fleet assets, maintenance programs, equipment, parts, tolls, registrations and asset lifecycle management. This is a high-profile role where you'll lead sourcing strategies, negotiate major supplier agreements, challenge convention, drive innovation and partner with senior stakeholders across the business to improve performance, reduce total cost of ownership and create lasting value.
- Develop and execute category strategies across Fleet, Equipment, Parts and Maintenance portfolios .
- Lead complex sourcing activities, tenders, RFQs and supplier negotiations.
- Drive commercial outcomes through cost optimisation, supplier innovation and value creation initiatives.
- Partner with Operations, Fleet, Finance and business leaders to deliver strategic procurement solutions.
- Manage supplier performance through governance, scorecards and Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Coach and develop the Procurement Analyst , building capability and procurement excellence.
- Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Commerce, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related discipline.
- CIPS or equivalent procurement qualification is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience managing fleet, equipment, maintenance or asset-intensive categories.
- Strong understanding of strategic sourcing and contract management principles.
- Experience developing business cases and financial models.
- Exposure to procurement technologies such as SAP Ariba, Icertis, Power BI or similar tools is advantageous.
- 10+ years' experience in procurement, category management or strategic sourcing.
- Proven ability to lead high-value commercial negotiations and supplier relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence, engage and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Experience resolving complex supplier issues and delivering mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Self-motivated, highly independent and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
