About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne as an Occupational Therapy Educator, Student Coordinator. Established in collaboration with our university partner, this role is designed to strengthen learning, teaching, research and workforce development within Occupational Therapy. You will play a key role in coordinating student placements, fostering high-quality learning experiences, and supporting the growth of future Occupational Therapists. Working collaboratively with university partners and clinical teams, you will ensure student placement targets are achieved while providing diverse, engaging and high-quality clinical education opportunities.

Provide leadership in Allied Health clinical education.

Coordinate Occupational Therapy student placements across St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne Mental Health.

Liaise with university partners regarding annual placement planning and allocation.

Identify appropriate placement locations and clinical supervisors.

Coordinate the administrative requirements associated with student placements, ensuring PlaceRight is maintained accurately.

Collaborate with university course coordinators to support and enhance Occupational Therapy teaching programs.

Contribute to curriculum development, teaching and workforce capability initiatives that strengthen Occupational Therapy education.
Classification: AJ15 Grade 5 OT Clinical Educator ($147,394 per annum pro rata)
The Occupational Therapy Educator (Student Coordinator) position has been established in collaboration with Swinburne University. The role aims to strengthen opportunities for learning, teaching, research and growth of student occupational therapists within clinical practice.
