As the APJ Customer Experience (CX) Category Lead, you will own and drive the end-to-end AWS and CX technology partner strategy across the Asia-Pacific and Japan region. You will be responsible for understanding customer and market signals, accelerating customer adoption of CX solutions on AWS, growing top-line revenue and overall marketplace transaction volume across all market segments and across all countries in APJ.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that sits at the intersection of AWS's most strategic CX partnerships, spanning CRM, Customer Engagement, and Digital Experience and our customers' drive to build composable, AI-orchestrated experience stacks. You will serve as the single-threaded owner (STO) for the CX partnership category in APJ, orchestrating executive governance, field enablement, go-to-market execution, and competitive positioning.
The ideal candidate will have direct sales and/or ISV/Technology Partner experience, as well as deep familiarity with the CX technology landscape (CRM, Contact Centre, Marketing Automation, Customer Data Platforms, Digital Commerce), cloud platform economics, and enterprise partner development. The candidate will have strong business acumen and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple customer personas and successfully align executive stakeholders with differing goals. A strong executive presence and the ability to successfully manage ambiguous, fast-moving situations autonomously and deliver results is required.
Key job responsibilities
- Define and execute the APJ CX category partnership strategy, goals, and metrics. Break down the overall goals and metrics into country/area outcomes
- Set up partner governance and executive engagement. Establish and run the partnership operating model for CX partners, serving as AWS's primary relationship holder with partners' APJ leadership
- Drive CX penetration through joint account planning frameworks, multi-solution cross-sell motions, and tri-party agreements with ISVs and Global System Integrators
- Build scalable enablement across APJ including country-level working groups, partner launch events, field training, and structured onboarding for emerging CX partners
- Work back from market signals to identify and mitigate partnership risks with proactive remediation plans
- Drive geographic expansion into underserved markets
- Establish, track and communicate key metrics
A day in the life
Your day might start with a partner interlocks to map joint opportunities across a customer's CRM, contact centre, and marketing stack. Mid-morning you're reviewing market signals to update the category's priorities and strategies. After lunch you're enabling a group of area sellers on a new composable CX co-sell play combining multiple partners, and in the afternoon you're leading an executive quarterly business review with a Top-tier CX GISV's APJ leadership, presenting progress and aligning on upcoming product launches.
