Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) Pharmacy Services provides high-quality, patient-centred care across a large and diverse population. Based at Cumberland Hospital, you will play a key leadership role within the Hospital in the Home (HITH) Service, delivering care across inpatient, outpatient and community settings.

What you'll be doing
As a Senior Pharmacist, you will lead the delivery of clinical pharmacy services within the HITH program, ensuring safe, effective and evidence-based medication management for patients across care settings.
- Provide advanced clinical pharmacy services including medication assessment and therapeutic advice
- Lead and contribute to policy, protocol and guideline development for HITH services
- Promote antimicrobial stewardship and oversee safe prescribing practices
- Support and supervise pharmacists, technicians and students as required
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with clinical standards and KPIs

Essential Criteria:
- Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions e.g. Bachelor of Pharmacy. Must satisfy Grade 3 classification as per Health Employees Pharmacists (State) Award.
- Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA
Selection Criteria:
1. Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written, verbal and interpersonal skills
2. Demonstrated extensive experience and leadership in clinical pharmacy practice
3. Demonstrated excellent therapeutic knowledge and ability to exercise a high level of initiative in the application of pharmaceutical principles to clinical practice.
4. Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and manage time to meet deadlines.
5. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to effect practice change
6. Demonstrated skills in information technology: using computer applications including dispensing, database management, spreadsheet, and word processing programs.
