About the Role
This is a hands‑on, commercially focused analytical role in a growing SME. You’ll work across numbers, systems and real‑world operations, with a core focus on sales performance, pricing and profitability.
You will sit at the intersection of sales, estimating and business analysis, turning data from our online, trade, supply‑only and supply‑and‑install channels into clear insights, accurate pricing and practical recommendations. You’ll analyse sales, pricing and margins, and prepare forecasts and estimates to support decisions on growth, resourcing and cashflow.
You’ll also have exposure to marketing analytics, CRM and operational reporting, working closely with the Managing Director to highlight trends, risks and opportunities. This is not a cold‑calling role; it’s an analytical and advisory position for someone who is comfortable in spreadsheets and systems and enjoys turning data into improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse sales performance across all channels and report on key KPIs (conversion, revenue, margins, customer behaviour).
- Prepare estimates and quotes for standard and custom products, aligned with pricing policies and margin targets.
- Review pricing structures, discounts and margin performance and recommend adjustments.
- Prepare sales forecasts by channel to support production, inventory and cashflow planning.
- Support scenario modelling for growth, capacity changes and new markets or channels.
- Analyse marketing, lead and CRM data to improve ROI, lead conversion and workflows.
- Work with operations and project teams to align forecasts with capacity and delivery timelines.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports for the Managing Director and management team.

- Around 1–2 years’ experience in sales analysis, estimating, commercial analysis or business analytics (ideally B2B or construction/manufacturing).
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data from multiple systems (CRM, online store, ERP).
- Able to translate numbers into clear, practical insights for non‑technical stakeholders.
- Proactive and hands‑on, confident to question assumptions and suggest improvements to processes, pricing and digital funnels.
- Experience with SMEs, CRM systems, digital sales platforms, or construction/manufacturing/trades will be highly regarded.
