About the Role
As requested directly by the participant, we are currently seeking Female support workers for assistance in Brunswick for inactive night shifts.
As a Support Worker, you will assist individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and maintain independence through daily support and community participation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support with daily living tasks like cooking, meal prep and shopping
- Support social and community participation, including appointments
- Assist with daily living tasks
- Ability to follow care plans and structured routines
What We Are Looking For
Experience in mental health or a similar field (Psychology, Nursing, Community Services)
- Minimum 10 months experience in disability, community services, or mental health
- Can remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately in challenging situations
- Understanding of person-centred care
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or related field
- Experience supporting people with mental health conditions and challenging behaviours preferred
- Current driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Check (within 12 months)
- Current manual handling certificate
- Working with Children's Check (Victoria)
- First Aid and CPR (HLTAID011 or HLTAID009)
- Valid working rights in Australia
- Willingness to travel as required
