We are seeking a friendly, reliable and hard-working staff member to join our busy newsagency located in Caneland Shopping Centre, Mackay.
This is a casual position with stable and long-term hours available for the right person.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers with enquiries
- Operate POS system and handle cash / EFT payments accurately
- Restock shelves, newspapers, magazines, gifts and stationery items
- Maintain store cleanliness and presentation
- Receive and unpack daily deliveries
- Process Lotto/Tatts sales (training provided)
- Assist with basic shop opening and closing tasks
What we are looking for
- Friendly personality with good communication skills
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Able to work weekdays and weekends as required
- Previous retail or newsagency experience is an advantage (not essential)
- Long-term commitment preferred
