About the role
QGE Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in either our South Brisbane or Beerwah office. As a full-time Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems and components across a range of projects.
Headline Skills:
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and safety regulations
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders
- Support commissioning, installation, and maintenance activities
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiencies
About you:
- Degree qualified Engineer, eligible for Engineers Australia membership
- 2+ years’ experience in an Electrical Engineering role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication, stakeholder-management, and report-writing skills
- Proficient in the specification and sizing of electrical equipment and cables.
- Strong knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems design.
- Proficient in performing power system studies using industry-standard software platforms.
- Ability to perform power system calculations, including implementation in MATLAB or similar.
- Working knowledge of Python programming, applied for automation, scripting, and data exchange.
- Working knowledge of design drafting software packages (i.e. AutoCAD etc.)

Base salary between $80,000 and $90,000 depending on skills and experience, plus superannuation.
