Position Title: Operations Manager (Maternity Leave Cover)
Location: Brisbane CBD (Hybrid)
Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Contract Length: 6 to 12 Month Contract
Commitment: Part-time (3 to 4 days per week)

We are seeking an experienced, commercially-minded Operations Manager to partner with our COO and ensure seamless continuity across our global software delivery teams.
As an evolving software development organisation, we need a trusted leader to maintain operational flow, manage a direct team, and champion our client relationships. Working closely with the COO and Delivery Leaders, you will bring a practical perspective to our day-to-day work - expertly balancing client satisfaction with business sustainability. Qualifications and Experience
Proven Leadership: Demonstrated experience in an Operations, Customer Success, or Delivery Management role (experience within software development, consulting resource outsourcing, technology, or professional services is highly valued).
People Management: History of managing direct reports and leading cross-cultural, distributed teams.
Client Experience: Proven ability to nurture corporate client relationships and long-term partnerships.
Operational Adaptability: Ability to quickly understand project delivery rhythms. (Understanding of Agile software methodologies would be beneficial).
Flexibility to Travel: Willingness and ability to travel internationally if required.
Communication Excellence: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to balance professional clarity with genuine warmth.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the COO: Assist the COO to execute daily operations and embed consistent workflows, delivery standards, and software development rhythms.
Operational Triage: Act as the first point of escalation for delivery teams, filtering noise and solving minor operational bottlenecks before they reach the COO's desk.
Delivery Execution: Help oversee the successful execution and timely delivery of software design and development projects for both internal software products and external client development projects. Sense-checking delivery models and working with technical leads to optimise resource allocation.
Seamless Client & Project Transition: Work with Pre-Sales to ensure a frictionless handover into delivery, ensuring a confident, seamless, and high-quality experience for clients.
Cross-Regional Coordination: Structure and support internal updates that align our Engineering, QA, UX, and PM teams across the Philippines, Europe, and Australia.
Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of efficiency and practical innovation as delivery models mature across business functions.
Commercial Delivery Lens: Advocate for both the customer and the business, balancing client expectations with InspireX’s commercial interests and efficiency.
Customer Experience Champion: Promote value through the customer journey to protect long-term partnerships and ensure alignment with client goals.
SOW & Proposal Support: Help refine Statements of Work (SOWs), engagement overviews, and delivery summaries, translating operational complexity into clear client messaging.
Pipeline & Resource Visibility: Collaborate with Sales and the COO to help monitor pipeline visibility and resource forecasting against upcoming client demands.
Direct Leadership: Manage and support direct reports, ensuring task clarity and performance accountability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Finance, IT, People & Culture (P&C), and Pre-sales Managers as required to streamline workflows and unblock operational hurdles.
Delivery Excellence: Define and reinforce standards, working rhythms, and accountability to drive software quality and team velocity.
