Chef/Cook – Alice Springs (NT DAMA Pathway Available)
Join an exciting new venue in Alice Springs! We are looking for a qualified Chef/Cook to help our kitchen operations, maintain high food standards, and drive our daily service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and cook high-quality menu items to precise standards.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Manage stock control, inventory ordering, and minimize kitchen waste.
- Supervise, train, and mentor casual cooks and kitchenhands to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene (HACCP), and workplace health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualification (AQF Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent).
- Proven commercial kitchen experience.
- Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to maintaining a positive workplace culture.
- Must meet the minimum English language requirements required under the NT DAMA framework (if seeking sponsorship).
Pay: $76,515.00 – $85,000.00 per year
