About the role
As an Oral Health Therapist with Metro North Oral Health Services, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred oral health care to eligible Queensland Health patients across community and hospital-based settings. Working within a multidisciplinary team of Dentists, Oral Health Therapists, Dental Therapists and Clinical Assistants, you will provide preventative, diagnostic and therapeutic oral health services that improve the wellbeing of children, young people and the broader community.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Deliver quality clinical services across a variety of caseloads in a community or hospital setting in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
As experience builds, apply increasingly independent clinical judgement and problem-solving skills to more complex clinical decision making and matters beyond routine practice, with clinical practice supervision or professional guidance decreasing commensurate with level of clinical experience.
Work cooperatively and effectively within SDS and with patients/clients.
Actively participate in the clinical environment to ensure that oral health services are integrated, efficient and equitable for the community serviced.
Actively participate in the identification, development, and implementation of quality improvement activities for the delivery of oral health services within the local service area.
