BRICKS 4 KIDZ delivers fun, hands-on LEGO® and STEM experiences for children aged 5–12.
We're looking for confident, enthusiastic and responsible Lead Facilitators to lead our school holiday programs across Gympie, the Sunshine Coast, North Brisbane and Redlands.
This is primarily a school holiday role, with occasional opportunities during school terms for school incursions, after-school programs, birthday parties, community events and other programs.
About the Role
As a Lead Facilitator, you'll be responsible for leading the delivery of BRICKS 4 KIDZ programs, creating a fun and engaging experience for children while coordinating a small team of Junior Facilitators.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading engaging LEGO®-based activities for children aged 5–12
- Creating a safe, supportive and positive environment
- Coordinating and supporting Junior Facilitators during programs
- Keeping the program organised, energetic and on schedule
- Managing group behaviour and encouraging participation
- Building positive relationships with children, parents and team members
- Setting up and packing down program spaces and equipment
- Communicating professionally with parents, venue staff and the BRICKS 4 KIDZ team
- Following BRICKS 4 KIDZ program, safety and child protection procedures
- Taking responsibility for the overall quality and smooth running of the program
We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Confident and enthusiastic when working with children aged 5–12
- Responsible, mature and reliable
- Positive, energetic and able to create a fun environment
- Comfortable leading a small team
- Well organised with strong time-management skills
- Able to confidently manage groups of children
- A strong communicator and team player
- Willing to learn and follow BRICKS 4 KIDZ programs and procedures
Experience working with primary-aged children is highly regarded, particularly in teaching, OSHC, childcare, coaching, camps, education or similar environments.
Experience leading teams is also highly regarded.
When & Where
The majority of work is available during Queensland school holiday periods.
Additional casual opportunities may be available during school terms and weekends depending on program demand, location and your availability.
Gympie | Sunshine Coast | North Brisbane | Redlands
Programs are delivered at schools, community venues, OSHC services and other approved locations.
Reliable transport is required, including the ability to transport BRICKS 4 KIDZ equipment when required.
Requirements
- Current Queensland Blue Card, or willingness to obtain one
- Experience working with children aged 5–12
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to lead a small team
- Reliable transport
- Availability during school holiday periods
- Willingness to complete required training and induction
Pay
Approximately $27–$40+ per hour, depending on the applicable BRICKS 4 KIDZ pay structure, age and day worked.
Higher rates may apply for weekend work.
