MC Truck Drivers – Multiple Positions Available

About the Role
Due to ongoing growth and increasing operational demands, RRSandhu Pty Ltd is seeking experienced MC Truck Drivers to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Location: Forrestfield, Western Australia
Hours: Minimum 38 hours per week
Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 per annum plus superannuation
The successful applicants will be responsible for operating Multi Combination (MC) vehicles, including B-Doubles and Road Trains, to transport sea containers, general freight, and oversized loads across Perth metropolitan and regional Western Australia while ensuring compliance with all safety and transport regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate MC vehicles to transport containers, freight, and oversized loads to various customer locations.
- Plan travel routes and delivery schedules to ensure freight is delivered efficiently and on time.
- Position vehicles for loading and unloading activities at depots, customer sites, ports, and distribution centres.
- Inspect loads before departure to ensure freight is correctly secured and complies with load restraint requirements.
- Monitor vehicle performance throughout each journey and promptly report any faults, defects, or mechanical concerns.
- Carry out routine pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records including delivery paperwork, logbooks, timesheets, and transport documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch staff, supervisors, customers, and loading personnel regarding delivery schedules and operational requirements.
- Ensure freight is transported in a safe and secure manner to minimise the risk of damage during transit.
- Comply with all road transport legislation, fatigue management requirements, chain of responsibility obligations, and company policies.
- Assist with loading and unloading operations where required and ensure all safety procedures are followed.
- Monitor load weights and axle distributions to ensure legal compliance and safe vehicle operation.
- Maintain a clean and professional presentation of vehicles and equipment.
- Participate in workplace safety initiatives and contribute to maintaining a positive safety culture across the business.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, applicants should possess:
- Current MC (Multi Combination) Driver's Licence.
- At least two years of experience operating MC vehicles.
- Sound understanding of Western Australian Road transport regulations.
- Strong knowledge of fatigue management and load restraint practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
- Current Driver Medical Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- WA Fatigue Management accreditation or willingness to obtain.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Experience transporting sea containers, general freight, or oversized loads.
- Previous experience operating B-Doubles and Road Trains.
- Experience working in regional and remote areas of Western Australia.
- Forklift licence or other relevant industry qualifications.
- Knowledge of freight logistics and transport operations.
