Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the head chef in preparing and cooking traditional Nepalese dishes, focusing on maintaining authentic flavours.
- Support daily kitchen operations, including ingredient preparation and workstation setup.
- Ensure timely preparation of dishes, upholding high-quality standards in taste and presentation.
- Check temperature of food and other cooking equipment.
- Manage stock levels for essential ingredients, reporting shortages as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene practices.
- Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen staff as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 year of experience in a Nepalese or similar kitchen environment.
- Basic understanding of Nepalese cuisine.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety standards.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
