The Junction Works is a for-purpose provider operating within Greater Western Sydney since 1987. Our mission is to create new possibilities in people's lives through creative and enriching community, youth, children's, and disability services, aimed at improving the lives of some of our community's most vulnerable individuals.
Working out of Holsworthy Primary School in Sydney's Southwest, we deliver out of schoolhours care to over 100 children.
The OOSH Educator plays a vital role in the daily operations of our Out of School Hours and Vacation Care programs located in Holsworthy. You will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children while working closely with families and the community.
Your key responsibilities will include supervising children, implementing developmentally appropriate programs, maintaining cleanliness and safety in the Center, and fostering positive relationships with local schools and community members.
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated OOSH Educator who is committed to the well-being and development of children. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A minimum of Certificate 3 in Children’s Services or currently studying a relevant discipline or higher education.
- Experience working with children aged 4-12 years.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Child Protection certification.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to employment).
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to employment).
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain prior to employment).
- Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to employment).
