Kimberley Regional Service Providers Pty Ltd (KRSP) delivers essential services, capital works, and municipal services to Indigenous communities across Western Australia’s remote Kimberley region.

About the role
We're looking for a fully qualified, skilled and driven Electrician with proven experience in an industrial setting to become a part of our team. KRSP build containerised standalone power systems (SPS) control rooms at our Perth workshop. These SPS systems are designed to deliver power to remote off grid communities through a combination of solar, diesel and battery storage. This role will primarily be focussed on completing the electrical fitout of these SPS control rooms under the guidance of KRSP supervisors. We're looking for a skilled electrical tradesperson with proven experience and exemplary standards in panel and industrial wiring. As your experience progresses you may be required to be involved with the workshop testing and commissioning of these units. Further opportunities may develop to participate in some infield commissioning or work on other projects.

Key responsibilities of the role:
- Review general arrangement (GA) and shop drawings for equipment and cable layouts
- Read and interpret single line diagrams (SLDs)
- Install unistrut, cable ladder/tray and installation hardware associated with the control room fitouts to exact specifications
- Install all cabling and terminations for control room to very high standards of quality and neatness
- Install electrical systems, switchboards, distribution boards, control panels, lightning protection, surge protection, and earthing systems.
- Testing of cables and wiring
- Be able to provide wide range of electrical trade services for any other type of project build as necessary
Location and Roster
This position predominately works at our Perth workshop located in Forrestdale, and may on occasion include work within remote Kimberley communities to assist with commissioning.
This is a permanent Monday to Friday Perth-based role.
What you will need
You must demonstrate strong work ethic, integrity, safe work practices, a positive attitude and can adapt to different situations as they arise.
Essential criteria:
- Grade A Western Australian Electrical Licence
- Proven experience in an industrial setting
- Significant experience in installation and wiring
- Ability to interpret electrical power and control drawings
- Current and valid C class driver's licence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team
Desirable criteria:
- First Aid certification, including CPR and LVR
