Your New Role
Reporting to the Group Accounting Manager, you will contribute to month end close activities, financial reporting, intercompany accounting, tax support, and the ongoing enhancement of financial controls across the business.
- Sydney or Melbourne location
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the month end close process, including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial accounting activities.
- Manage intercompany cost allocations and settlements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and robust supporting documentation.
- Partner with Finance, Tax, Reporting, and Audit teams to support regulatory, statutory, and financial reporting outcomes.
- Monitoring and reconciling general ledger accounts, fixed assets, and banking activities.
- Supporting tax compliance activities, including BAS, FBT, tax provisions, and related reporting requirements.
- Maintaining effective financial controls, policies, and process documentation.
How do you exceed our expectations?
- Experience in financial accounting, audit, or financial control environments with ideally CPA or CA qualifications
- Strong understanding of financial accounting, reconciliations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- You are balanced in accepting risk in any decision you face. You are curious to understand risk context and choose to speak up as we simplify, learn and grow.
- Experience in financial services, ideally within financial planning, wealth management or superannuation (Desirable).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
