Optical Assistant / Dispenser (Part-Time)

New Vision Eyewear is a well-established independent optometry practice known for delivering personalised eye care and carefully tailored eyewear solutions. As our practice continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Optical Assistant or Optical Dispenser to join our friendly team on a part-time basis.
We're also pleased to consider applications from Optometry students who are at least two years into their degree and looking to gain valuable practical experience in an independent practice.
What your day might look like
No two days are the same, but you'll spend your time:

Assisting patients with frame styling and lens selections

Taking accurate dispensing measurements, fittings, and adjustments

Welcoming patients and creating a positive front-of-practice experience

Managing appointments, orders, and general administration

Supporting the Optometrist to ensure each patient receives exceptional care

Maintaining an organised and visually appealing practice environment
Who we're looking for
You'll be someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing thoughtful, personalised service.
Ideally, you'll bring:

Previous experience in optical dispensing or as an Optical Assistant (essential)

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Confidence using computer systems and learning new software

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

A positive, reliable, and collaborative approach

Second-year Optometry students with relevant optical experience are encouraged to apply.
