Art of Gelato is looking for a Motivated Junior Pastry chef to join our team.
We are an industry leading Gelato manufacturer with a focus on quality and consistency. This role is perfect for an individual looking to gain experience working in a new environment with attractive working hours ( 8:00 - 4:30pm Monday to Friday)
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Managing our manufacturing process
Working with our team and under the guidance of our Operations Manager you will ensure all SKU’s are kept in stock.
Optimize Operations
Ensuring the production team consistently achieves their manufacturing targets
Lead Continuous Improvement
Identify and drive the process of continuous improvement to enable efficiencies and reduce production unit costs.
Ensure Quality Standards
Performing and monitoring quality controls and improve production KPIs to best practice standards ensuring the highest standards of HACCP exist across the facility
Develop The Team
Provide inspiring leadership of the manufacturing and warehousing operations team on the site.
Provide Timely & Accurate Intelligence
Accurately monitor and report operational performance to the executive team.
About you:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in either a kitchen or production setting
- An aspiring leader wanting to drive teams to achieve goals
- Confident and comfortable to train and upskill staff
- Proactive working approach, you have strong problem solving skills
- Thorough knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
