This Is Not a Reception Role
This is one of the most influential positions in our practice.
You will be the first and last person every patient experiences at Smart Vision Optometry.
The way you welcome someone, build rapport, guide them through their journey and farewell them will shape how they remember us long after they leave.
You'll become a trusted guide, helping patients understand their vision, introducing them to premium solutions, and assisting them in choosing beautiful eyewear they'll genuinely love wearing.
This is a role where exceptional communication, emotional intelligence and relationship-building are every bit as important as organisation and efficiency.
What You'll Be Doing
As the first and last person every patient experiences at Smart Vision Optometry, you'll play one of the most important roles in our business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating an outstanding first impression and an unforgettable final impression for every patient.
- Building genuine rapport and long-term relationships with patients and their families.
- Guiding patients through their entire Smart Vision Optometry journey with warmth, professionalism and confidence.
- Helping patients discover premium vision solutions that genuinely improve their quality of life.
- Styling and recommending beautiful premium fashion eyewear that patients feel excited to wear.
- Learning the art of professional optical dispensing (full training provided).
- Converting walk-in browsers into loyal Smart Vision Optometry patients through exceptional communication and service.
- Converting phone enquiries into appointments by confidently explaining what makes Smart Vision Optometry different and why people choose us.
- Managing appointments and contributing to the smooth operation of the practice.
- Working closely with our optometrists to deliver a truly premium patient experience.

Previous optical experience isn't essential.

- Casual position with flexible days by agreement.
- Mosman and/or Bondi Beach locations.
- Full training provided.
- Attractive hourly rate.
