This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are committed to Trusted Care, Better Health for Everyone, and we are looking for an experienced Pharmacist Grade 3 to play a pivotal role specialising in Information Management and Technology within our Pharmacy team.
About the Opportunity
As a Specialist Pharmacist Grade 3, you will provide leadership in the delivery of specialist clinical pharmacy services across inpatient, outpatient and community settings. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will drive excellence in medication management, service development, and patient-centred care.
This position plays a key role in advancing pharmacy services and supporting the safe, effective and efficient use of medicines across the District. In this role you will:
- Lead, coordinate, manage and develop pharmacy services within the defined specialty practice area, ensuring service objectives and performance targets are achieved.
- Provide specialist clinical leadership, mentoring and professional support to pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, technicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Identify, implement and evaluate quality improvement initiatives that enhance medication safety, quality use of medicines and service efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop innovative, patient-centred pharmacy services and education programs.
- Review, validate, dispense, compound and check medicines to ensure the safe, timely and appropriate provision of therapy while supporting patient flow.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Current registration as a practising pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and an unrestricted driver's licence.
- Significant clinical pharmacy experience with demonstrated expertise and advanced clinical judgement within a specialist practice area.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Demonstrated experience developing high-quality clinical guidelines, procedures, educational resources, research or business materials.
- Advanced problem-solving, organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- A proven commitment to professional development, evidence-informed practice and continuous improvement.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve Pharmacy Department objectives.
