The Meat Republic is a modern Balkan restaurant located in the heart of Melbourne CBD, specialising in charcoal-grilled meats and authentic Balkan cuisine.
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our friendly kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
- Keep workstations clean, organised and ready for service.
- Receive and store deliveries as directed.
- Remove rubbish and recycling and maintain a clean work environment.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.
- Perform general kitchen cleaning and end-of-shift duties.
About You
- Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not essential.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
