About the Role
As a Health & Security Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting hospital operations through a combination of security, patient support, and general assistance duties. Responsibilities include responding to security incidents and alarms, conducting patrols, assisting with patient and equipment transfers, supporting clinical staff, and maintaining a safe and compliant healthcare environment.
This role operates on a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays, and day, afternoon, and night shifts.
About You
You are a reliable and professional team player with strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations. You have experience managing difficult behaviours, responding to incidents, and working effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
To be successful, you will hold a current NSW Class 1A Security Licence, Senior First Aid Certificate, and a valid driver's licence. You will also have an understanding of infection control, workplace safety principles, and be willing to work within all areas of the hospital, including the morgue when required.
