About the Role
As a Disability & Community Support Worker, you will provide flexible and individualised support both in the home and out in the community.
Your responsibilities include:Daily Living & Personal Care
- Hoisting and manual handling -Ceiling hoist(experience required)
- Personal hygiene, grooming, showering, toileting
- Meal preparation and domestic assistance
Community Access & Social Support
- Transporting clients to appointments, shopping, and outings
- Supporting participation in workshops, programs, and recreational activities
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and routine building
Support Planning & Documentation
- Following participant support plans
- Assisting with skill-building and daily routines
- Completing accurate progress notes and incident reports
- Maintaining privacy, dignity, and safety at all times
About You
We’re looking for caring, reliable, and proactive support workers who take pride in helping others.
Required:
- Hoisting/manual handling experience-Ceiling hoist(experience required)
- Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- First Aid & CPR
- Police Check & Working With Children Check
- Valid Australian driver’s licence (active driver)
- Reliable car with comprehensive insurance
- Strong written and verbal English
- Australian working rights
- Morning shift availability
- Minimum 1 year industry experience
- Friendly, professional, and punctual
Highly Valued:
- Experience supporting clients with behavioural needs or mental health challenges (Autism, Down Syndrome, psychosocial disability)
- Experience with high-support or complex-needs clients
- Strong understanding of NDIS principles and duty of care
