About the Role The Massage Therapist will be responsible for assessing client conditions, developing treatment plans, and delivering professional therapeutic massage treatments to support pain management, rehabilitation, recovery, and overall wellbeing.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Conduct client consultations and assess musculoskeletal conditions and treatment requirements
· Develop and implement individualised treatment plans
· Provide therapeutic treatments including:
o Remedial massage
o Sports massage
o Deep tissue massage
o Pregnancy massage
o Reflexology
o Hot stone therapy
o Dry needling
o Cupping therapy
o Traditional meridian massage
· Apply massage techniques to reduce muscle tension, pain, and soft tissue dysfunction
· Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans where required
· Provide advice regarding posture, stretching, rehabilitation, and ongoing care
· Maintain accurate treatment records and client notes
· Ensure compliance with workplace hygiene, health, and safety standards
· Work collaboratively with other therapists and clinic staff to support business operations
Skills and Experience Required
· At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Massage Therapist
· Demonstrated experience in remedial and therapeutic massage treatments
· Strong understanding of anatomy, muscle function, and musculoskeletal conditions
· Ability to assess and treat a range of physical conditions and injuries
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Ability to work in a professional clinical environment
Qualifications
· Diploma of Remedial Massage or equivalent relevant qualification
· Relevant professional memberships and health fund provider eligibility will be highly regarded
Work Conditions
· Full-time position
· Rotating roster including weekends and evening shifts
· Work performed in a professional massage and wellness clinic environment
Pay: $76,520.00 – $80,000.00 per year
