Your Role
Use the power of data to help shape the future of one of NSW's largest and most respected not-for-profit organisations. As our Senior Data and Insights Analyst, you'll transform complex data into meaningful insights that influence strategic decisions, improve services, and drive positive outcomes for the people and communities we support. Working closely with senior leaders across the organisation, you'll design innovative reporting solutions, champion data quality, and build a culture where evidence-based decision making is at the heart of everything we do. Your Responsibility
Lead the development of enterprise reporting, dashboards and visualisations using Power BI.
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision making.
Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to understand business needs and deliver innovative reporting solutions.
Build and maintain robust semantic data models and optimise reporting performance.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to automate reporting and enhance data quality.
Deliver predictive and trend analysis that supports organisational planning and service improvement.
Champion best practice in data governance, reporting standards and analytical methodologies.
Mentor colleagues and help build data literacy and self-service reporting capability across the organisation.
Support strategic projects by providing analytical expertise, performance reporting and outcome measurement.
You Will Need
You're a highly analytical and business oriented data professional who enjoys solving complex business problems and turning data into meaningful stories. You thrive on collaborating with stakeholders, influencing decision making, and continuously improving the way organisations use data.
To be successful, you'll bring:
Extensive experience developing advanced Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic data models.
Advanced DAX and SQL skills, with a strong understanding of data modelling principles and performance optimisation.
The ability to communicate technical information clearly to a broad range of stakeholders.
Proven experience partnering with leaders to deliver data-driven solutions that improve organisational performance.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Experience working across multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes.
Tertiary qualifications and/or significant professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence or a related discipline.
Experience within the not-for-profit or community services sector, and knowledge of social impact reporting, will be highly regarded.
