Casual Disability Support Worker – Rockdale Area
Pay: $45.28–$99.61 per hour (SCHADS Award)
Supporting Needs is looking for a casual Disability Support Worker to support a young NDIS participant in the Rockdale area.
This role would suit someone who is young, energetic, enjoys being active, and can naturally build rapport with young people. If you enjoy things like the gym, gaming, basketball, going for drives, cafés, or community outings, you'll likely be a great fit.
About the role
- Support community access and social outings
- Build confidence, independence, and social skills through everyday activities
- Assist with meal preparation, light household tasks, and daily routines
- Transport participants to activities and appointments
- Complete shift notes and follow participant support plans
About you
- Friendly, reliable, and easy to talk to
- Able to build genuine relationships with young people
- Calm, patient, and proactive
- Comfortable working independently
- Enjoys getting out into the community and participating in activities
- Previous disability support experience is preferred but not essential
Essential requirements
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Reliable insured vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- Working With Children Check
- First Aid & CPR
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Full Australian working rights
