The primary purpose of the position is to provide quality obstetric and gynaecological care to patients in a complex clinical environment whilst developing higher professional maturity and professionalism during the RANZCOG Advanced Training Program, with the goal of obtaining FRANZCOG. Advanced trainees will, under an appropriate level of supervision by senior staff as approved by the RANZCOG, evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to female patients of all ages presenting in any condition or stage of pregnancy or the puerperium; and female patients presenting with illnesses, injuries and disorders of the gynaecological or genitourinary system.
