Home Care Support Worker (Female) – Sanctuary Point & Surrounding Suburbs
Elouera Home Support is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and experienced Female Home Care Support Worker to join our growing team.
We provide personalised in-home support services that help clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life within the comfort of their own homes and communities.
We are currently looking for someone based in the Nowra or nearby suburbs who is passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care, particularly for elderly clients and those living with dementia.
About the Role
As a Home Care Support Worker, you will provide one-on-one support to clients in their homes and within the community.
Duties may include:
- Personal care assistance including showering, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Dementia support and companionship
- Social support and community access
- Meal preparation and light household assistance
- Transport to appointments and community activities
- Welfare checks and wellbeing support
- Respite support for families and carers
- Following individual care plans
- Completing clear shift notes and maintaining communication with the office team
This role requires someone who is confident working independently, while remaining responsive and reliable in communication with the support coordination team.
What We Are Looking For
We are particularly interested in applicants who:
- Have experience supporting clients living with dementia
- Live in the Nowra or nearby suburbs
- Have their own reliable vehicle and are comfortable travelling between client homes
- Are compassionate, patient, and respectful
- Understand the importance of consistency and trust in home care
- Are reliable and professional when working independently
- Are flexible with shift lengths, including shorter community and home care visits
- Are available for mornings, evenings, and/or weekends
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, Community Services, or similar (or willingness to obtain)
- Current National Police Check
- NSW Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
Previous experience in home care, aged care, disability support, or dementia care will be highly regarded.
