Custom Built by Bray is a family-owned and operated business based in Carrum Downs, VIC. We specialise in a wide range of custom cabinetry services, from residential projects through to commercial fit-outs.
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Full-Time Cabinet Maker to join our growing team.
In this role, you would be responsible for interpreting plans and measurements, cutting and assembling cabinetry components and hardware, and delivering and installing cabinetry on-site.
Daily tasks include
- Operating machinery (CNC, edge bander and panel saw), using hand tools, fitting hardware, checking quality and accuracy of completed units, and assisting with installation on site as required.
- Maintaining a clean and safe workshop.
- Collaborating with team members and clientele on custom projects, and ensuring all work meets company standards and client expectations.
Qualifications & skills
- Candidates have completed apprenticeship in cabinet making, and/or have relevant trade qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong cabinetry skills for constructing and finishing custom cabinets and experience with onsite installation
- Experience reading technical drawings and using measuring tools, power tools, and operating machinery safely.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work on-site independently, follow safety procedures, collaborate effectively within a small team environment and able to have a laugh
- Experience operating a CNC and edge bander is desirable
Pay: $38.00 – $45.00 per hour
