About the Role
This EP position is for someone who wants to influence and build something new. Think of it like starting your own business, without the burden of startup costs, finding clients and managing administration. It’s small hours to begin with at 0.6 FTE initially (3 days per week). This position is our first EP role; it joins a small and recently established team of allied health professionals here at UCWB, giving you the unique opportunity to shape something new.
UCWB supports older people to continue living independently in their own homes and communities. As part of this role, regular travel for home visits will be required to provide meaningful, person-centred support where it matters most.
We also see exciting opportunities for this role to evolve beyond a home-visiting model as the service grows and becomes established. We recognise the unique value Exercise Physiologists bring to the health, wellbeing and quality of life of older people, and we are excited to partner with you to shape and expand this impact within our community.
About You
You will be someone who is sensitive to the particular needs of older people, and understand how EP interventions can support their physical, mental and social wellbeing. You might be someone looking for a different work-like balance with a part-time role, returning to the workforce (parents and carers are welcome to apply), or you might be looking to diversify your work.
You will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Exercise Physiology/Exercise Science, and current ESSA
accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist (AEP).
- Driver’s licence and your own vehicle with comprehensive insurance. Fleet cars are
usually available, however there may be times you are required to use your own vehicle
- you will be reimbursed mileage costs.
- DHS Working with Children Clearance
- National Police Clearance
You will have the ability to obtain clearances prior to commencement of employment.
You need to be physically fit to undertake the duties.
