About the role
Fostering Independence Pty Ltd is expanding into Adelaide, and we're looking for compassionate, reliable Community Support Workers to join our growing team. This is a casual position offering flexible hours and the opportunity to make a genuine difference in people's lives.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care and support to clients, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming and meal preparation
- Accompany clients on community outings, appointments and social activities to promote social inclusion and independence
- Support clients in developing life skills and building confidence in their abilities
- Maintain detailed and accurate client records and documentation in accordance with organisational policies
- Communicate regularly with clients, families and the support coordination team to ensure continuity of care
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve client goals and outcomes
- Respond sensitively and professionally to clients' needs and concerns
- Maintain a safe and respectful environment that supports client dignity and choice
- Adhere to all health, safety and compliance requirements relevant to aged and disability support
What we're looking for
- Experience working in community services, aged care, disability support or a related field is highly desirable
- Current or willingness to obtain a relevant First Aid qualification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse client groups
- Demonstrated commitment to person-centred, respectful and dignified support practices
- Reliability, punctuality and the ability to manage time effectively across a flexible casual schedule
- Physical capacity to assist clients with mobility and personal care tasks
- A valid Australian driving licence and access to reliable transport
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one
- Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
- Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals and commitment to fostering independence

Pay: $42.00 – $44.00 per hour
