About the Role
Working as part of a team of four and reporting to the Senior Manager – Payroll, Remuneration & Benefits, the Payroll Officer is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services across the organisation. This role ensures payroll transactions are processed efficiently, including new starters, employment variations, terminations, redundancies, leave, and employee record maintenance.
The position provides support on payroll-related matters to employees, People & Culture, managers and external providers, resolves payroll-related enquiries, and assists with payroll reporting and pay production activities.
Working closely with the Manager, the Payroll Officer also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll services, ensure compliance with relevant Awards and legislation, and support organisational objectives and best practice.
About You
You are a payroll professional with strong experience in end-to-end payroll processing within a high-volume environment and a sound understanding of payroll legislation, practices, procedures, and Modern Awards. You bring a customer-first mindset, building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while consistently delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality service.

- Sound understanding of Modern Awards
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound skills in Microsoft Office tools, such as Outlook, Word and Excel
