About the Role
We are the licensed Australia Post outlet in Violet Town and are looking for a reliable, committed and responsible person to join our team as a Postie / Mail Delivery Driver.
This position involves street delivery of mail within Violet Town only. You will be responsible for delivering mail to local homes and businesses throughout the town.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being out on the road, working independently and being part of the local community.

- Someone who enjoys delivering mail and being out on the road
- Not easily phased by different weather conditions or the demands of outdoor work
- Able to follow delivery procedures and instructions carefully

- Someone who takes pride in doing the job properly
Reliability is extremely important for this position. We are looking for someone who will consistently turn up on time and take responsibility for completing the delivery run each day.
Key Duties
- Sort and prepare mail for the daily delivery run
- Deliver mail throughout Violet Town only
- Deliver mail accurately and safely to residential and business addresses
- Follow the allocated delivery route
- Safely operate the delivery motorcycle/bike
- Follow all required postal, safety and workplace procedures
- Represent our local post office professionally within the community
Essential Requirements
- Current motorcycle/bike licence
- Ability to successfully complete all required checks
- Ability to meet any required Australia Post screening, training and safety requirements
- Good communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Previous employment references will be checked
Previous experience in mail delivery, courier work or a similar role is an advantage, but training can be provided to the right person.
