We are seeking a Communications Coordinator to lead the delivery of communications, media relations, digital content and community engagement activities across the organisation. Working closely with internal stakeholders and leading a small team, you will help tell council’s story, promote community outcomes and ensure residents stay informed and connected. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your communications expertise in a varied and rewarding role while contributing to positive outcomes for our communities.
- A degree or less formal qualification in communications, media or related fields or substantial experience in media relations, corporate communications or public relations.
- Driver licence
- Employee Working with Children Check
Demonstrated experience in developing, coordinating and delivering communications, media and public relations initiative.
High-level written and verbal communication skills
Strong stakeholder engagement and media management capability
Proven leadership and team management skills
Specialist knowledge of contemporary communications, community engagement and digital media practices
