The Position
As a Mobile Sonographer you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging to aged-care and home visits across Melbourne. You will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care and diagnostic imaging support. Enjoy the flexibility of working across multiple locations, ensuring residents in aged care facilities receive essential radiological services right at their doorstep.
This role offers the chance to apply your extensive expertise to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable elderly individuals in our community. We provide necessary equipment, including a company vehicle, complete IT setup, and high-quality tools. Our Ultrasound equipment ensure a seamless and efficient operation, enabling us to bring an Ultrasound room directly to those who need accessible care.
What you’ll be doing:
- Performing a variety of imaging examinations at multiple aged care facilities
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and aged care staff to ensure a positive patient experience
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with regulatory and documentation standards
- Adhering to safety protocols and quality standards to minimise risks and provide reliable diagnostic results
- Working alongside the broader healthcare team to offer a coordinated approach to resident care
- Continuously enhancing your professional skills and staying current with industry best practices
What we’re looking for:
- Registered Sonographers with a current Ultrasound Licence
- Full and valid driver’s licence
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Sonographer
- Excellent patient care skills and the ability to work sensitively with elderly residents
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to work efficiently across multiple sites
- Willingness to travel within the Melbourne metro and suburban regions
- Capable of lifting and transporting a mobile ultrasound machine up to 10kg
