Hunter Valley, NSW | Flexible VMO Opportunity
We are currently partnering with a modern regional hospital in the Hunter Valley to recruit General Practitioners with Emergency Medicine experience to join a high-performing Emergency Department as Visiting Medical Officers.
This is a great opportunity to build a long-term Emergency Medicine career within a large, contemporary district hospital (Tier 2 facility) with approximately 300+ beds, servicing a rapidly growing regional population.
The Emergency Department is a busy, well-supported unit that:

Sees approximately 150 patients per day, with around one-third paediatric presentations

Maintains an admission rate of 20–22% across multiple specialties

Acts as a referral hub for several surrounding rural hospitals

Focuses strongly on patient flow, clinical decision-making and safe care pathways

Operates with a collaborative senior medical team and structured supervision model

Requirements

MBBS or equivalent with current AHPRA registration

Fellowship of RACGP (FRACGP) or equivalent

Experience or strong interest in Emergency Medicine

Completion of, or willingness to undertake, Emergency Life Support training

Commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork and ongoing professional development
