The Opportunity
Shape decisions. Influence leaders. Build your IR career at scale. Reporting to the Head of Workplace Relations, you will operate as a trusted subject matter expert supporting the enterprise across Australia and New Zealand. You'll partner closely with HR Business Partners, senior leaders and executives, providing commercially focused advice across the full spectrum of workplace relations matters.
This is not a typical workplace relations role. We’re looking for a Australian legal practitioner, who is a commercially minded Workplace Relations professional, to step into a high-impact, enterprise-facing position where your advice will directly influence leaders, shape outcomes and support a business at the centre of healthcare across Australasia.
At EBOS Group, you'll operate at the centre of complex employee and industrial relations matters, from enterprise bargaining and industrial disputes to organisational change, investigations and litigation. You'll partner with senior stakeholders while remaining closely involved in delivering practical, commercially focused outcomes.
If you're looking for variety, pace and genuine influence, this role delivers. You'll advise on complex and business-critical workplace matters, translating legislation into practical commercial advice while partnering with leaders to navigate risk, resolve issues and deliver positive organisational outcomes.
In this role:
Working across multiple healthcare, pharmaceutical, animal care and corporate businesses, you'll gain exposure to a diverse range of workforce and industrial environments rarely found in a single organisation.
Advise leaders on complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, disciplinary processes and employment terminations.
Support enterprise bargaining, industrial strategy and engagement with unions and employee representatives.
Manage employment litigation, regulatory matters and external legal providers.
Provide strategic advice on organisational change, restructures and redundancies.
Partner with HR Business Partners and senior leaders to build workplace relations capability across the business.
Interpret employment legislation, industrial instruments and contracts to provide practical, commercially focused advice.
Develop workplace relations policies, guidance materials and training for leaders.
Contribute to enterprise-wide workplace relations projects and strategic initiatives.
About you:
You're an Australian-qualified lawyer with at least five years' post-admission experience in employment law, workplace relations, or industrial relations. Your experience may have been gained in private practice, an in-house legal team, or a specialist employee relations function.
You combine strong technical capability with commercial judgement and enjoy solving complex workplace issues. Confident engaging with senior stakeholders, you communicate clearly, build credibility quickly and provide practical advice that supports sound business decisions.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working autonomously and are comfortable balancing legal risk with commercial outcomes.
