Category 5 Labour Management is partnering with a leading Australian engineering and asset maintenance provider to recruit experienced Industrial Blasters & Painters for Defence and industrial projects in Henderson.
Supporting Australia’s Defence and marine industries, you’ll work on the maintenance and preservation of Royal Australian Navy ships, submarines and other critical Defence assets, delivering high-quality surface preparation and protective coating solutions.

As an Industrial Blaster & Painter, you will be responsible for:
- Perform abrasive blasting and surface preparation to project specifications.
- Apply industrial protective coatings and paint systems.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Safely operate blasting and painting equipment.
- Work in confined spaces and at heights where required.
- Follow strict site safety procedures and quality requirements.
To Be Successful You Will Have
- Proven experience in industrial abrasive blasting and painting.
- Australian Citizenship (mandatory).
- Current National Police Clearance.
- Current White Card.
- Current Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets (within 2 years).
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
- Ability to provide two recent supervisor references.
Highly Regarded
- Previous Defence, naval or marine industry experience.
- NACE Level 1 or 2 certification.
- Certificate III in Surface Preparation & Coating Application.
- MSIC.
- High Risk Work Licence (EWP or Forklift).
- UHP Water Jetting experience.
