Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East. We have grown to include 5 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres.
With a strong emphasis on play-based learning, Kirwan Kindergarten supports children’s early literacy, numeracy, and social development while nurturing a love for learning among the youngest members of the local community. Located within the Ryan Catholic College Junior School campus, the centre offers a welcoming, community-focused environment.
About the position
Kirwan Kindy is seeking two Educators to join our team. These positions are partially funded through Inclusion Support, providing approximately 5 hours per day (typically 9:00am–2:00pm, Monday to Friday), with additional hours available before or after these funded hours to support full-time employment. Shifts may be rostered between 6:00am and 6:00pm, depending on service requirements.
As an Inclusion Support Educator, you will work alongside the educator team to support children with diverse needs to fully participate in the program. You will help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child feels valued, supported, and able to thrive.
What We’re Looking For:
- Hold or be actively working towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification.
- Hold or be actively working towards a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification.
- Experience supporting children with additional needs and behaviours.
- A current Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)
- Current First Aid Certificate including CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training, or willingness to obtain these certifications
