Are you a kitchen wizard who loves crafting mouthwatering food, working independently, and thriving in a fast-paced, flavour-packed environment? We’re on the hunt for a full-time Chef to join the team at Big Loaf Bakery in O’Connor.
This isn’t your average chef gig — you’ll be working in a buzzing bakery kitchen, creating everything from vibrant salads, house-made sauces, and stacked sandwiches that locals obsess over. If you’ve got skills, stamina, and a sense of humour, we want to hear from you.
What’s Cooking at Big Loaf:
As a full-time Chef, you’ll be:
Cooking and prepping a rotating menu of bakery favourites – filled baguettes and focaccias and croissants.
Crafting small-batch sauces, pickles, dressings, pestos, and more — all from scratch.
Working closely with our bakery and front-of-house teams to keep the kitchen flowing smoothly.
Bringing ideas to the table — we love creativity and input!
Keeping the kitchen humming with clean, organised, and efficient practices.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience as a CDP or a strong Commis ready to step up
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience and skill)
A calm and organised approach
Passion for fresh produce, rustic food, and a hands-on kitchen culture
Reliability, good communication, and a positive team spirit
Valid working rights for Australia (we are unable to offer sponsorship for this position)
