The Business Support Team Leader plays a pivotal role in leading the Business Support team within the Environment and Regulation Unit. This position is responsible for ensuring the team effectively addresses inquiries related to Environmental and Regulation, Development Compliance, and other related areas. The Team Leader will provide high-level support to Managers and Team Leaders, facilitating smooth operations and promoting a culture of excellent customer service.
This role encompasses leadership responsibilities, including coaching and developing team members, managing the annual budget, and promoting a safe and healthy workplace. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to implement process improvements and drive organisational growth while embodying the values of the Council.
We are seeking an experienced leader with a strong background in business administration and environmental regulation. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of supervisory experience, operational support expertise, and a commitment to customer service excellence.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff and monitoring performance.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and provide business support at a senior level.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement.
In addition to the required qualifications, candidates should demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced environment, advanced clerical and administration skills, and proficiency in digital workflow tools. Previous experience in local government and knowledge of relevant environmental legislation will be advantageous.
