North Melbourne | Part Time or Full Time
Mörk is known for chocolate, but behind the scenes our production bakery creates the pastries, cakes and baked goods supplied across our Melbourne venues every day.
We're looking for a Junior Pastry Chef to join the team in North Melbourne. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen or professional kitchen environment who is looking to continue developing their skills within a supportive and experienced team.
Working alongside our Production Lead and Senior Pastry Chefs, you'll contribute to daily production while building your skills across pastry, bakery and laminated dough production.
The Role
You'll be involved in:
- Daily pastry and bakery production
- Croissants, morning buns and laminated pastry production
- Dough preparation and pastry components
- Cakes, tarts and baked pastry items
- Bake-off and finishing
- Preparation and packing for multiple venues
This is a production-focused role where consistency, organisation and attention to detail matter. You'll play an important part in a bakery that supplies multiple locations across Melbourne and produces a high volume of products each week.
Early starts (approximately 4:30am) are a regular part of the role.
Hours may be offered on either a part-time or full-time basis depending on the successful candidate and business requirements. Weekend availability will be required as part of the role.
About You
You'll bring:
- Experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen or professional kitchen environment
- A genuine interest in pastry, baking and learning new skills
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- A reliable, team-focused approach
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
Experience with laminated pastry is beneficial but not essential. We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in producing quality work.
