As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of our technology platforms and software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, platforms, and backend systems supporting sports forecasting and predictive analytics products
- Analyse business and user requirements and translate them into technical specifications and scalable software solutions
- Develop clean, efficient, maintainable, and high-performance code using modern programming languages, frameworks, and development tools
- Build and maintain APIs, integrations, and services that support real-time data processing and application functionality
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects, system issues, and performance bottlenecks
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, designers, and other technical team members to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Participate in software architecture discussions, system design, deployment planning, and technology improvements
- Conduct software testing, code reviews, and performance optimisation to ensure reliability and scalability
- Maintain technical documentation, development records, and system specifications
- Ensure software solutions comply with security, quality assurance, and industry best practice standards
- Assist with cloud-based application deployment, monitoring, and ongoing system maintenance
- Research emerging technologies and contribute to innovation initiatives that enhance product capability and operational efficiency
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar software development role
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented programming, and application architecture
- Experience developing frontend and backend applications using modern development frameworks and technologies
- Knowledge of databases, API development, system integration, and cloud-based environments
- Experience working with scalable applications, data-driven platforms, or analytics-based systems will be highly regarded
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Understanding of software testing methodologies, version control systems, and secure coding practices
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills
- Reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced technology environment
