RCR Mining Technologies (RCRMT) is seeking an experienced QA/QC Welding & Coating Coordinator to join our Welshpool team.

About the Role
Reporting to the QA/QC Welding & Coating Coordinator this position is responsible for ensuring welding and coating activities meet all applicable standards, specifications, and client requirements.
You will play a key role in maintaining quality assurance processes, supporting inspections, and contributing to the overall performance and reliability of fabricated mining equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project requirements across workshop activities
- Monitor and review QA/QC processes and procedures
- Review, develop and qualify welding procedures and welders as required to meet project requirements.
- Conduct and support inspection and testing of welding activities
- Assist with preparation, review, and control of QA/QC documentation (ITPs, MDRs, etc.)
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across QA/QC systems
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade qualification or Engineering qualification
- Welding Supervisor and/or Welding Inspector certification
- Proven experience in QA/QC within fabrication, mining, or heavy industry
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, inspection, and NDT requirements
- Experience interpreting and applying relevant Australian Standards
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
