As Communications Advisor, you will support the Student Experience team to deliver strategic and impactful communications that engage students, educators and staff, and build, protect and inspire the RMIT story.
Under the direction of the Communications Manager, you will contribute to the planning, creation and delivery of communication campaigns, content and stories that support key organisational processes and priorities and enhance the student experience.
Working collaboratively with University Communications team members and stakeholders across the University, you will craft engaging content that profile our staff and students for internal and external channels, including websites, email and social media, helping to inform, inspire and connect with diverse audiences.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Experience in a customer, consumer or membership-focused communications function.
Experience supporting the planning, production and delivery of communications activities and content.
Strong professional writing and editing skills, with demonstrated ability to write for different audiences and channels.
Experience working with multiple communications platforms such as website, email management tools and social media.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster positive working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support multiple projects at a time.
Ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data and information to support continuous improvement.
Experience working within a large, complex organisation is desirable.
Qualifications:
A degree or equivalent in Communications, PR, Journalism or similar, and relevant professional experience.
