VPS 5 Senior Planning & Environment Advisor
Join us in building better connections for Victoria by:
1. Providing specialist advice to ensure accurate, timely and focussed land, planning and environmental advice and services over one or more phases of the project lifecycle.
2. Leading and managing planning and environmental approval processes including planning scheme amendments, planning permit applications, environmental referrals and approvals, heritage approvals and other approvals as required.
3. Managing planning, heritage and environmental consultants as required to achieve project objectives.
4. Performing key actions required under VIDA Roads’ management system, including provision of high quality, timely and accurate review and advice of technical reports and consultant/contractor performance.
5. Developing strong relationships and liaise closely with relevant regulators and stakeholders, including but not limited to Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA), Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW), Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), Environment Protection Authority (EPA), Heritage Victoria, First Peoples – State Relations, municipal councils and local environment interest groups.
This role provides expert advice on planning and environmental issues on a wide variety of road infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for providing authoritative advice on a range of planning and environmental issues while working closely and building strong relationships with a range of government departments and industry stakeholders. The Senior Planning & Environment Advisor will ensure accurate, timely and focussed land, planning and environmental advice and services for projects developed and delivered by VIDA Roads.
This opportunity is 2 years Fixed Term role.
