Details: The HR Systems’ team is looking to recruit on a temporary basis a Director, HRMS Applications Support (SOGB) role commencing ASAP.
Do you enjoy working with a passionate, dynamic and high-performing team? This is a great opportunity to lead a small team in managing the day-to-day activities of ACT Government’s Chris21, HR21 and HRMS Applications.
Under the limited direction of the Senior Director, the Director, HRMS Applications Support has responsibility for ensuring that the Chris21, HR21 and HRMS Applications each operate across ACT Government to the highest professional and ethical standard. The role will work closely with operational teams delivering payroll, reporting and other human resource functions to staff and ACT Government directorates.

What qualities do you need to have?

Extensive experience using Chris21, HR21, iChris or equivalent Human Resource software application;

Project management skills and experience;

Governance experience of corporate/business applications used in a public sector environment;

Ability to design, test and implement technical or business process solutions to improve operational outcomes;

Understand and apply agile techniques to a constantly evolving information technology and business support landscape;

Team leadership and management skills.
A typical day will include
-
Utilising advanced skills, methods and techniques to research, resolve and implement complex technical solutions;

Provide high-level advice to colleagues and management on technical complexity of various business operational changes;

Overseeing upgrades and changes to Chris21, HR21 and HRMS applications;

Supervising the workloads of upto seven team members;

Respond to system governance matters that arise from the ACT Audit Office;

Managing key relationships with internal teams and software vendor;
-
Responding to requests and feedback received via ServiceNow;

Prepare and deliver content to inform executive decision-makers;

Ensuring system and data integrity through regular monitoring and any validation processes;

Keeping abreast of industry best practices and developments related to payroll and human resource applications.
