Support & Outreach Coordinator (School Transport)
Location: Sussex Inlet NSW 2540
Company: National Disability Care (NDC)
Pay: From $38.00 per hour
Job Type: Casual
Before applying, please read this properly.
This is not a "pick up shifts when it suits you" type of role.
We are looking for someone who is genuinely available to commit to this roster for the duration of this interim position and understands how important reliability is.
This role involves supporting the same participant before and after school during school terms. If you frequently change jobs, disappear during onboarding, don't respond to communication, or cannot commit to attending the same roster consistently, this position will not be suitable.
Unfortunately, we've had too many applicants accept interviews, commence onboarding and then disappear before starting work. We respect everyone's time and ask that you only apply if you are genuinely interested in this role.
National Disability Care (NDC) is a growing NDIS provider focused on delivering structured, person-centred, high-quality support while building genuine relationships with the people we support.
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and engaging female Support & Outreach Coordinator to provide school transport and community-based support to a teenage participant living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD Level 2).
This role is much more than simply driving from A to B. It is about building trust, providing consistency and creating a positive start and finish to each school day.
The participant enjoys structured, interest-based conversations around manga, anime, drama, movies, libraries and cooking. She responds best to calm, friendly support workers who communicate clearly, maintain routines and genuinely enjoy building rapport.
Supports May Include
- Morning transport from Sussex Inlet to Shoalhaven Community College, Nowra.
- Afternoon transport from school back home to Sussex Inlet.
- Providing safe and reliable transport.
- Building rapport through conversation and shared interests.
- Providing calm, structured support.
- Encouraging independence.
- Supporting routine and predictability.
- Completing progress notes after each shift.
Roster Available
School Terms Only

8:00am – 10:00am
Afternoon Shift

This is an interim position while the participant's regular support worker is on approved leave.
The current roster is Monday to Friday during school terms. From 24 August 2026, these shifts may reduce or conclude as the regular support worker is expected to return.
While there may be opportunities for other work within National Disability Care in the future, ongoing hours for this participant cannot be guaranteed beyond this date.
